I feel like I haven't mentioned Rio for a while. To begin with, I have to tell you that she was chosen to be one of the "Student of the Day' yesterday. Way to go, Rio!
This is what the teacher who nominated her said about Rio;
" Rio is a hard-working, helpful student who does high quality work. However, she's a lot more than an outstanding student, she's an exceptional young lady. She always comes to class with a smile on her face, is very positive and regularly says "thank you" for teaching the class as she leaves. If you don't know Rio already, you should get to know her because she would make a great friend!"
I always tell Rio that she's "exceptional", and in fact gave her the perfume called " Exceptional... because you are" (what a lame name) on her birthday.
She's such an amazing girl and I'm so happy to be her mom.
The picture above was taken after the performance of Jordan Canyon Youth Symphony at Abravanel Hall. Her grandma sent her a lovely flower to congratulate her.
She still plays flute, and she's going to audition for Utah Youth Symphony next month. This summer, she's going to take a few summer classes to give her a head start for the next school year. She's excited to take Social Dance class in fall. She's doing great with everything she does, and I'm so proud of the effort she puts in.
