Concert at Thanksgiving Point

We went to the concert at Thanksgiving Point. Rio and Marcus signed up to be volunteers for the pre-concert event, "Instrument Petting Zoo", and we received four free tickets to attend the concert.
"Instrument Petting Zoo" was hosted by Utah Symphony and Summerhays Music. They displayed instruments for people to try out. They had the violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone. Marcus and another boy were helping at the string section, and Rio helped with the flute section.

週末は屋外コンサートへ出かけました。リオとマーカスが"楽器体験コーナー'のボランティアとして参加したのでチケットは4人分入場料無料にしてもらえました。
"楽器体験コーナー”は、ユタシンフォニーと地元の楽器専門店がスポンサーで、バイオリン、ビオラ、チェロ、フルート、クラリネット、トランペット、トロンボーンなどが展示され、ボランティアは楽器の説明をして体験のお手伝いをする役割。マーカスはバイオリン担当、リオはフルート担当しました。

They both did a good job instructing people how to try the instruments. Rio was more natural than Marcus was because she is a very social person. She would be a great teacher if she chooses to start teaching flute lessons.

マーカスもリオも上手に指導していました。特にリオは社交的なのでぴったり。教え方もなかなか様になっていて、フルートの先生になったらいいだろうなぁと思いました。

The concert was wonderful. They played patriotic songs, and the conductor Vladimir Kulenovic did a great job. We took Anthony with us because we thought that the outdoor concert would be OK to have him, but he was making a lot of noise, so James and I had to take turns taking him out for a walk. We will never take him with us again.

ユタシンフォニーのコンサートは、独立記念日のコンサートなので愛国心にあふれた曲目が並んでいてとてもよかったです。指揮者のクレノヴィック氏のユーモアありの解説も楽しく、とてもよい夏の夕べを過ごせました。ただ、アントニーを連れて行ったのは失敗でした。屋外コンサートだから大丈夫かなぁと思ったのですが、やはりだめでした。

The concert ended with spectacular fireworks. It was amazing. 


コンサートの最後は素晴らしい花火で締めくくり。
歓声が上がる、見事な花火でしたよ。

By the way, can you tell that I have a new camera? My step-grandmother bought me a new camera. I'm so excited.


ところで、写真がいつもとちょっと違うのに気が付かれましたか？日本の義理の祖母のプレゼントで新しいカメラをゲットする事が出来ました。レンズも2種類。とても嬉しいです。
