High School for Rio

Since Rio skipped the 7th grade, it is already time for her to choose high school.
All along, we were considering one particular high school, but we started to question whether it would be the right school for her. I attended the presentation about their program twice in the past, and was quite impressed by it, but I was concerned that it might be too rigorous for Rio. She has been a great student, but she recently started to struggle a little bit. I think it's mainly due to her lack of concentration. She has many friends and the social network/chat online distracts her constantly. Can I say that I sometimes hate modern technology? That makes me sound like an old fashioned mom who doesn't understand "nowadays teenagers", but I wish they were not so obsessed with constant connection to each other.
Anyway, we decided to attend the orientation night on last Thursday to get a better idea of the program they offer, and also see the atmosphere of the school overall.

Rio was more skeptical than I was, but after the presentation, we both agreed that this (program) was too good to pass up. So, for right now, I think Rio decided to attend this high school. It will be about 20-30 minutes away, so not very convenient for us, but we will do what we need to do if it's important to her. I hope she will have a great high school experience.
