ご無沙汰していました。リオの中学校のボランティアでイヤーブックを作る作業に明け暮れていました。イヤーブックは高校などで生徒が毎年作る学校のアルバムなのですが、中学校ではボランティアの親が作ります。写真の選択、ページの配置、レイアウトまで全て１人で頑張りました。もともと引き受けた理由は、イヤーブックの担当は注文、そして配布のみだと思っていたのですよね。作成しないといけないとは思ってもいませんでした。（苦笑）
とにかく、完成したのでひと安心です。
I was also busy at my work, and of course the soccer season has started, so we were always somewhere doing something every night. It's been fun, but at the same time, a little tiring. I must be getting old because some morning, I just don't want to wake up and get ready. Especially on early morning seminary mornings. :) I can't wait for the end of this school year.
運悪く、仕事も忙しく、子供たちのスポーツや学校行事などの活動が毎日あったりしてちょっと疲れ気味です。
朝起きるのがつらい〜
Here are some of the highlights from the last few weeks...
過去数週間のハイライト。
Went to City Creek with Rio.
City Creekという新しく出来たショッピングモールにリオとお出かけ。
There was a spring fashion show at Macy's, and the special guest was Clinton Kelly. He was the same as we see him on TV, and it was a fun event.
春のファッションアドバイスショーがMacy'sというデパートで催されるのを見に行きました。テレビのファッション番組で有名なクリントン・ケリーが司会。彼はテレビ通りでした。

Jordan Youth Symphony's concert. This is the last concert they performed for this school year. Since this is a symphony for the middle schoolers, it is the last one for Rio to play with them. She is thinking about joining a symphony for the high school students, or the Lyceum Philharmonic. Recently, she's asking if she could try the marching band. I'm not so crazy about the idea because I hear that marching band requires a serious commitment and I'm not sure if she has enough time to do both her school work and marching band.
学校区のシンフォニーのコンサートです。このシンフォニーは中学生代表で成り立っているシンフォニーなので、中学を卒業するリオはこのコンサートが最後となります。高校で別のシンフォニーに参加するかどうかはまだきめていないみたいですが、彼女はマーチングバンドをしたいと言っています。マーチングバンドは練習がきつそうなのですけどね。
Lyceum Orchestra's concert. I wrote previously that Marcus joined this orchestra in March. I also mentioned that he went down his level since the concert was coming up soon. I thought that it was a right decision, but in the end, it might have been better if he stayed with the upper level. He learned the songs quickly and got bored. Next year, he would like to be one of the 1st violin in Chamber Orchestra. He will have an audition in September.
マーカスの参加するオーケストラのコンサート。以前記事で書いたように（あ、その記事日本語に訳してないです。ごめんなさい。）マーカスはコンサートの一ヶ月前に入ったので
レベルを１つ落として簡単なグループと演奏しています。来年度は１つ上のレベル（もともと参加するはずだったレベル）のグループに入る予定。
Our anniversary was May 1st. We didn't do anything on that day, but both of us took a day off on May 4th and went out for lunch + shopping. It was great. After we had lunch, we went to pick up Marcus from school, and when he got in to the car, he said, "You guys look so happy."
It was nice to go out on a date, so we decided to make an effort to go out together at least once a month. We think Rio and Marcus will be able to watch Anthony for us, and as long as it's not very long, and we don't go very far in case we need to come back home quickly if Anthony gets too upset, it should be fine.
5月1日は結婚記念日でした。当日はリオの学校行事があったので、数日後の金曜日に主人が仕事の休みを取り、私も仕事を早めに切り上げて２人でランチに出かけました。
食事をしてショッピングをし、久しぶりに２人で過ごす時間はとても楽しかったです。マーカスをの下校時に迎えに行った時、車に乗り込んだマーカスの第一声は 「２人とも幸せそうだね〜」でした。
やっぱりたまにはデートもいいものです。これからも時々出かけてみようかな？と思っています。リオとマーカスに１時間くらいだったらアントニーのお守りをしてもらえるかな？

We went to "Blue Fish", and I ordered a sushi set. I got too excited, and forgot to take a picture of my dish. It was quite good, and we will definitely go back again.
ブルーフィッシュという日本食レストランに行きました。私はお寿司セットを取りましたが、あまりの嬉しさに写真を撮るのをすっかり忘れてしまいました。なかなか美味しかったので、また行きたいな。
