Mom's 65th
My mother-in-law had her 65th birthday, but for her party, she didn't want any gifts. Instead, she wanted to put together humanitarian kits for those in need. We got together to make these (we made over 200!) as a big family and all had our own part in assembling them -- even the little ones helped by taking out the toothpaste bottles from their boxes. The kits were made up of two towels, four toothbrushes, one toothpaste, one bar of soap, and two combs.
It was fun to get together and do a meaningful service activity. I'm grateful to have such a wonderful mother-in-law who is always looking for an opportunity to serve.
