School Program at Kauri Sue Hamilton

Anthony's school had a school musical program last Thursday. Because of last year's incident, I was a bit hesitant, but still wanted to go see it. I asked if my mother-in-law would like to join me and Marcus, and she took a day off to come.

His class performed "Trashin' The Camp" from Disney's Tarzan. I was worried that the noises might bother him, so I was not surprised to see him coming to the stage with his headphone. I saw Jeff with him when they were waiting for their turn to come to the stage, and Jeff guided him as he entered. Jeff stayed on the side of the stage during the performance, and I saw him giving a high five to Anthony after the performance. Jeff is not assigned to Anthony's class, but he is the one who takes care of Anthony whenever he has a meltdown or behavior problem. Jeff knows Anthony, and handles him very well. He is big and strong, but so kind and gentle at heart. I'm so grateful for all he does for Anthony.

I didn't film other class's performances. It was so emotional to see those special needs children perform. It makes me wonder why Heavenly Father created those children. I know they are here for a reason, and they bless other people's lives in so many ways. Still, I'm certain that so many tears are shed by their parents. Whenever I see them, I think about those parents and their overwhelming love towards them. It just breaks my heart.
