Finally we had fun

Like I wrote before, this summer has been pretty boring. Okay, not boring, just exhausting. Sure, we had a violin recital, soccer tournament, and some of us went to see the movies (HP7, X-men,The Help), but we didn't do anything fun as a family so much. Marcus said to me when he went back to school at the end of July, "I didn't get to do anything this summer!", and I apologized to him and promised him that we would do something fun when he's off track in September.

My daughter might have had the worst summer. She took Summer P.E., then she got sick, then she was taking geometry over the summer so that she could start algebra II in the fall, then she had homework for her biology and AP geography. She basically stayed home all day to study for the whole summer. Sad thing is that she's not quite done yet and her school started this week! Hopefully, she will be able to do more work next weekend.

Well, my parents-in-law were nice enough to take us to the water park last Saturday, and we had fun. We got home later than we expected (mainly because we stopped at the BYU creamery and it was so crowded), so Rio had to stay up late to work on her homework, but it was good to do something fun together for change.
