A couple of weeks ago, Marcus had a soccer game in Midway, Utah. We didn't want to go because it was about 50 minutes away, and it was on a Monday night. However, after driving up there through Provo Canyon, we were so amazed at how beautiful and gorgeous the scenery was (it was like Middle-earth from the Lord of the Rings!), and were very happy that we went. Rio was not with us at that time, so we decided to drive up there again with the whole family on Memorial Day. We are not an outdoor type of family at all, but we love seeing green hills and beautiful lakes and rivers.
数週間前にマーカスのサッカーの試合でMidwayというところに出かけました。車で1時間ほどの遠出でしたが、途中の景色が緑が綺麗でまるで指輪物語(ロード・オブ・ザ・リング)で知られるトールキンのミドルアース。すっかり感動したので、あらためてリオも一緒に家族皆でピクニックに出かけることにしました。

After the picnic, we went to have some ice cream at Fill'er Up Coffee Station. We loved the deco of this little shop.
ピクニックの後はレトロなアイスクリームショップへ。
I'm thinking about going out and doing more activities as a family this Summer. We've never ever done hiking or camping or fishing together, and this summer would be a good year to do those since we're not going to be busy with soccer games/practices.
今年の夏は、家族で自然を楽しむ夏にしたいと思っています。ピクニックやハイキング、魚釣りなどもしようかな？
